Both versions came out on October 12, 2026, the same day as 0.4.0. This summary follows the official notes for 0.5.0 and 0.5.1.

0.5.0: a new look

0.5.0 is a branding release: the app icon became a vectorised chameleon, in the same style as the other Crafting Apps, with its curled tail as the app mark, a full rounded tile on Windows and Linux, and README screenshots retaken with the new mark.

0.5.1: share with a join code

  • Share with a join code: share the open file online through the built-in server, or on your local network, and give others the short code.
  • Live sessions per document, so each open file can have its own session.
  • Text: double-click into text inside groups selects into it, a double-click selects all, a drag threshold avoids accidental moves, and text metrics are measured.
  • .fig export that opens elsewhere — written files were checked by opening them in other software.
