FigCraft 0.6.0 was published on October 14, 2026, two days after 0.5.1. It is the version you get when you open FigCraft online on this site. This summary follows the official release notes.

Starter templates

The desktop app's home screen now has a Templates section with eight starter files — a mobile app, a landing page, a dashboard, a design system starter, a wireframe kit, social post sizes, presentation slides and an icon set starter — plus first-run help. Recent files also show as thumbnail cards, with a list view and sorting. Looking for complete example designs? See the FigCraft templates gallery.

Everyday editing

  • Number fields, outline options, Hide when publishing, cursors, panel widths and dark pages.
  • Full screen with F11 or View ▸ Full screen.
  • Core editor fixes: wrapped-line alignment, prototype delays and overlay offsets, converting between frames and groups, effects on groups, variables in styles and a component playground.
  • Typing a linked width or height now keeps proportions.
  • In vector edit mode you can hover, hatch, select and drag filled regions.

Online files and sharing

  • Your online files: remembered ownership, Home ▸ Online, tab marks and safe crash recovery.
  • Terms for the default sharing server, and a build-time switch to ship without it.
  • New docs on privacy and online sharing. In short: sharing online uploads the file to a server and is not end-to-end encrypted.

Developers and agents

  • Dev Mode can generate Leptos (Rust) code with component properties, instance calls and Code Connect.
  • The Linux AppImage can run the CLI with cli <args>, so FigCraft.AppImage cli mcp starts the MCP server.
  • MCP no longer replays a request when an attached reply is lost.

Files

  • .fig export (experimental) now writes instance sizes, variables with modes, shared styles and variable-width strokes. See opening Figma files in FigCraft.
  • Deep SVG and PDF exports are no longer silently truncated.
  • SVGZ and embedded SVG documents on import have size budgets, and images a native file lost on loading are reported.

Platform and security fixes

  • Windows uses Direct3D 12 instead of Vulkan.
  • Preferences are written owner-only on Unix.
  • A dependency update for RUSTSEC-2026-0344, bounded plugin logs and metered plugin host calls, and repairs for layer cycles and repeated children.
